University Oregon won 17-8 this evening, I ushered at the J show and Jenny and Lorna went too. Lloyd took us up there. Our show was good and we had lots of fun. Saturday- Went up town etc. This evening Lloyd and I went for a ride in Schmidt’s new Chrysler it is a beauty; gray and blue. Sunday- This afternoon Lloyd and I took some pictures out on the Loraine Highway. We shot the 22 too. I can shoot at a target and hit it. We had ice-cream tonight. This evening we went down to the Mc Kenzie. The river was so purity I just came home and no one is here … I don’t know what I will do to pass the time away. I made part of my dress today. It is red gingham looks like this.

Pronounced “Ha – SEE – Ta” by most, “HECK – ah – Ta” by others, yet everyone agrees Heceta Head is one of the most beautiful lighthouses in the world. The Heceta Head Lighthouse and Light Keeper’s house are circa 1894. Both are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The lighthouse is a working lighthouse. From a height of 205 feet above the ocean, its “first order” Fresnel lens, casts it’s beams some 21 miles out to sea. It is the brightest light on the Oregon coast. It is said to be the most photographed lighthouse in the United States.
The Heceta Head Keeper’s House is perched on a cliff with a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean and the beach below. Paths from the Keeper’s House lead both to the beach and to the lighthouse. http://hecetalighthouse.com/
