I love to watch this movie when it is cold and raining! The book is dark it gives new meaning to the phrase “still waters run deep”.
Heathcliff has a love for Kathy so intense it is obviously painful. If you are going to watch Wuthering Heights this is the one to watch with Juliette Binoche.
She is wonderful in this movie! Don’t read any of those lame reviews that tell you otherwise. I just read one that said it was not a love story but a movie of revenge. The movie is complicated as is the book! I think he has such a love for her that one cannot put words to describe it. Far from perfect his fits of jealousy are unattractive at the least. Still there is something romantic about the fact he can have no one but her. Some how they are joined as if almost the same person, and when she dies he also dies.
So when the weather is ugly foggy and raining get yourself a nice cup of steaming
