“I Remember It Well” Gigi

Leslie Caron will be on hand for the premiere of a new digital restoration of the 1958 best picture Oscar winner Gigi tomorrow, October 10, at 7:30 p.m. at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences‘ Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. Film critic Stephen Farber will host an onstage conversation with Caron. This event was a few years ago. I would of loved to have gone and seen the movie in the Goldwyn Theater and met Leslie Caron!

I remember my mom talking of the movie Gigi and how much she loved it. A few years ago I searched for it and watched it. Now I am collecting all her movies and records, yes you know the old records!

I love old things! I’ve been collecting Vintage and antiques since I was practically a kid! I love researching the Edwardian era. … I am so… sentimental and concerned with things of the past…my family and friends cease to talk to me at times. I love period movies: Horseman on the Roof, Wuthering Heights, The Woodlanders, Tess of the d’Urbervilles, Bleak house, and John Adams. My favorite actress is Juliette Binoche, in the movie Chocolat. I know it’s just a movie but, I feel if people would act that kind the world would be a better place to live. I am on a constant mission to discover treasures; I love one-of-a-kind items, no one else has. Because I buy too much, occasionally I sell my items; Vintage prom, purses, antiques and incredible Edwardian jewelry. Originally I started this blog for myself, my little space to keep all my research notes, price realized and my photo creations. It seems there is more to this blog now, hopefully you can feel my love for the past. Have a lovely day! Love
